This page is written for coach drivers and for the people at an agency who put the day’s programme together — no descriptions, no storytelling, just what you need to know before you put the salaš into an itinerary. Salaš Isailovi is at Rumski drum bb, 5 km from the centre of Sremska Mitrovica and 5 minutes’ drive from the E70 motorway exit. We work strictly by prior arrangement, at least one day in advance, and for groups of at least 20 people.

The route: from the E70 motorway exit to the salaš
From the E70 motorway exit for Sremska Mitrovica to the salaš is a 5-minute drive. The E70 is the main Zagreb–Belgrade corridor, so a group travelling that road towards Belgrade or towards the border loses very little time on the detour.
The address is Rumski drum bb, Sremska Mitrovica; the town centre is 5 km from the salaš. We agree the arrival time in advance, usually directly with the driver or the guide, so that the meal slot fits the group’s programme.
The approach road — as it actually is
The approach to the salaš is partly asphalt, and the remaining stretch is macadam (a crushed-stone road). We say so in advance and without dressing it up: it is better for the driver to know what is coming than to discover it once the coach has already turned off.
There is enough room to turn a coach round — the driver does not have to look for somewhere to turn outside the salaš.
If you need any further detail about the approach for your planning — how long the macadam stretch is, what that stretch is like after heavy rain, what the manoeuvre at the entrance itself involves — ask us before you confirm the programme. Where we do not know exactly, we say so, rather than giving you a figure we are not sure of.
Parking and getting the group off the coach
Two coaches can park in front of the salaš at the same time. Alongside that there is room for roughly 30 to 40 cars, and in front of each of the three guest rooms there is one further space, so guests staying overnight park right by their room.
There is ample room to manoeuvre and a coach can turn round without difficulty. The group gets off the coach in front of the salaš and walks to the table.

These times are approximate and depend on traffic. We give them as a guide for putting the day together; if you need a more precise figure or a calculation for a specific date for your quotation, ask us.

Toilets, capacity and equipment
There are four toilets at the salaš: two men’s and two women’s.
The indoor area has 80 seats, and together with the outdoor area our optimum is 120 guests. A raised platform and a projector are available, should the group’s programme include music or a short presentation.
There are also three guest rooms, for groups whose stop with us is not only a meal but an overnight stay.

What the driver and the guide need to know
The salaš is not a restaurant you walk into off the road. Everything goes by prior arrangement, and that is not a formality — whether the food is on the table when the coach pulls in depends on it.
The driver and the guide do not pay for their meal with us. The toilets are free of charge, and the gift shop sells home-made produce, magnets and small gifts.

- We agree the arrival time and the menu in advance, so the meal is ready when the group arrives.
- All the food is prepared immediately before the guests arrive so that it is served hot and fresh — which is why we always insist on agreeing the number of guests and the menu beforehand.
- We are in direct contact with drivers and guides, so we know the arrival time in advance.
- We handle communication in English directly; for German we use translation when needed.
- Arrangements are made by email, and at the salaš itself we speak to the driver or the guide.
- Expected length of stay: 2–3 hours
Experience with organised groups
Over the last five years we have hosted more than 50 tourist groups. The questions drivers and product managers ask are mostly the same ones, so we have put the answers on the page — and where we cannot yet give an exact answer, we say that too.
How the salaš fits into the day's programme
The salaš is beside the Zagreb–Belgrade corridor and 5 km from the centre of Sremska Mitrovica — a town that grew out of ancient Sirmium, one of the four capitals of the Roman Empire and a point on the national cultural route the Roman Emperors Route. For a group touring Sirmium, a traditional Srem lunch is 5 km from the town centre, without any significant detour from the route.
