Salaš “Isailovi” — a salaš is a traditional Vojvodina farmstead — offers 80 seats in the indoor area, and 120 guests in total when the outdoor area is used as well. Those 80 are not the physical limit of the space but our own decision — that is how many people sit comfortably. In the indoor area, at a pinch, there is room for 100. Below is exactly how those seats are laid out, what we do if the weather turns in the middle of a celebration, and what all of that means for a coach group. We work strictly by prior arrangement, at least one day in advance, and for groups of at least 20 people.

80 seats is not a limit — it is a choice
When we say that the salaš takes 80 guests in the indoor area, that is not the number at which the space fills up, but the number up to which people sit comfortably. It is for our guests’ comfort that we stopped there, so 80 is what we offer and what we base our offer on.
With the outdoor area we take 120 guests in total. In fine weather the celebration is outdoors — on freshly cut grass and under sun umbrellas.
The indoor area physically holds more than 80. The three halls together take up to 100 people. We keep that number as a reserve, in case the weather turns in the middle of a celebration and everything has to be moved inside. We do not sell it as a regular capacity, because 80 is the number at which guests are comfortable.
We write about the difference between those two numbers openly, because it is in fact the answer to the question every host asks: what if it rains on that very day. Here that question has an answer worked out in advance, rather than improvisation on the spot.
Four rooms in the indoor area
The indoor area of the salaš consists of four rooms:
The three halls together give 100 seats, and the number we offer is 80. Both figures — the 80 we offer and the up to 100 at a pinch — refer to those three halls. The small fourth room is usually used by the musicians and photographers.
We agree the layout separately for each celebration: it depends on the number of guests and on whether the outdoor area is used as well. Send us the number of guests and the date, and we will agree together how to set things up.

If the weather turns in the middle of a celebration
In fine weather everything is outdoors. The tables are laid on freshly cut grass, under sun umbrellas, and that is where the celebration ends as well.
If the weather changes during the day, guests move into the indoor area. The three halls hold up to 100 people. That is the only reason we keep that reserve at all — not so that we can sell 100 seats, but so that the celebration can carry on when the rain starts.
There is a covered area outdoors, but to be honest: it is cramped there and not particularly comfortable. We do not describe it as nicer than it is, so that it does not take you by surprise on the day of the celebration, and we do not promise in advance how many people it can hold. The serious plan for bad weather is the three halls or a marquee.
If you want more reliable protection from the weather, a marquee can be hired. Marquee hire is charged separately and is arranged in advance, so tell us in good time if you want one.
One more thing that is better known sooner than later: if a celebration is larger than 100 guests and the weather turns, there will not be room in the halls for everyone at once. For gatherings close to 120 people it therefore makes sense to think about a marquee in advance, rather than on the day itself.
Raised platform, projector, music and food
There is a raised platform for music and dancing on the salaš, and there is a projector as well.
You can bring your own music — a band or a DJ, whichever suits you.
The food is prepared here, on the salaš, and outside catering is not possible. All food is prepared immediately before the guests arrive so that everything is served hot and fresh, which is why we always insist on agreeing the number of guests and the menu in advance.
You can see what we cook on the Delicacies page: pečeno prasence (roast suckling pig) from the brick oven, tradicionalni sremski ručak (a traditional Srem lunch), mezetluk (a platter of savoury nibbles), svašta pod sačem (an assortment cooked under the sač, a bell-shaped baking lid), salašarski roštilj (farmstead grill), pohovano pileće belo (breaded chicken breast) and salašarski paprikaš (farmstead paprikaš stew), and for dessert baklava, štrudla (strudel), krofne (doughnuts) and knedle sa šljivama (plum dumplings).
Parking and toilets
The car park is in front of the salaš. Two coaches can stand in it at the same time, and besides that there is room for about 30 to 40 cars. In front of each of the three rooms there is one separate space as well.
There are four toilets — two men’s and two women’s. There is no charge for them.
For coach groups the weather is not an issue
A standard tourist coach has 48 to 55 seats. The whole group from one coach fits into the indoor area, within the 80 seats we offer. For agencies and coach operators this means that the weather does not change the plan for the day, and that a fallback arrangement for rain is not needed.
A group normally stays with us for 2 to 3 hours: lunch, drinks, a look round the salaš and the gift shop. The gift shop sells home-made produce from the salaš, magnets and small gifts. The driver and the guide do not pay for their meal.

Accommodation — three rooms on the salaš
There are three rooms on the salaš. Each has two beds and a seating set on the terrace. The rating on Booking.com is 9.4.
The rooms are useful when a celebration runs long into the night, when guests come from far away, or when a group on its way to Belgrade or to the border needs an overnight stay. Details are on the Accommodation page.
Send us the number of guests and the date, and you will receive an offer
Tell us how many of you there are, on what date, and whether you are planning the celebration outdoors or indoors, and we will send you an offer and agree the layout with you. Phone +381 65 5506929, email salas.isailovi@gmail.com, or through the Contact page. We work strictly by prior arrangement, at least one day in advance, for groups of at least 20 people.
